2 tiny laundry heroes (that’ll make you one, too)featured
Disclosure: This sponsored- and timely- post is brought to you by Carbona, laundry fairy godmother extraordinaire. Although I’m compensated, all thoughts, opinions, and grass stain-free denim are entirely my own.

It’s summer, so it’s time for fun. A.k.a.: It’s summer, so it’s time for laundry crises. (Who gave the four year-old soft serve in a sweltering minivan? Do I even want to know what you just kneeled in?) Thankfully, this is neither my first rodeo nor my child’s first chocolate goatee. Plus, I’ve got a secret weapon: Carbona, industry leaders in stain removal since 1908, when their method of transpo was a horse-drawn cart in NYC. (Another fun factoid? They were the very first cleaning solution to be endorsed by Underwriters Laboratory for being non-combustible and nonflammable- during a time when folks frequently treated stains with dabs of actual gasoline.) Anyway, read on!
Laundry hero #1: Carbona Stain Devils
You know those irritating stains? The quick messes that end up being a permanent member of the family (or at least sleeve)? I’m loving on Carbona’s Stain Devils because of a) the bottle’s tiny, crazily portable size and b) its powerhouse stain-lifting abilities. The 1.7oz bottle of Stain Devils #6, formulated for grass, dirt & makeup, works quickly for small stains. Got a blotting cloth and a bit of water- but not a full hour to see if it’ll work? Oh, this is your product. They had me at “grass stains,” but the really impressive one was my 6 year-old’s hoodie sleeve, which turned from a beautiful lavender to a color we can only refer to as “when did she start drinking coffee” way back in October. And now? Lavender, you guys.
While #6 is my current fave, you’ve really got to check out the lineup of numbers 1-9. Each is formulated for a different type of stain. Cooking oil? Ball point pen? Rust? Swoon.
Laundry hero #2: Carbona washing machine cleaner
If, like me, you used to believe that washing machines were self-cleaning, have I got a product for you! Meet Carbona’s washing machine cleaner. (And it contains activated charcoal, which is my newest cleaning obsession, plus it’s safe for all washing machines and septic systems.)
Here’s how it works: Shake up this single-use, 8.4oz bottle, dab some on a clean cloth and wipe down the rubber seal under the lid, remove the detergent drawer (if you’ve got one), and soak it in 2oz of this stuff mixed with a gallon of warm water for about half an hour. Rinse off all the residue, put the detergent drawer back in, and pour the rest of the bottle into the washing machine tub. Run as normal…and marvel at the lack of dirt, residue, limescale buildup, and gross, gross odors in the under-appreciated magical water box (…that could probably tell some real horror stories about your habits).
Remember: A clean washing machine gives you clean laundry.
I know.
I know!
(All in a day’s work, people.)
What kind of stain ends up being your “devil?”
